Make Up For Ever (MUFE) – Rouge Artist Intense #13

Hello Gorgeous Gals,

Now that I have finally sent my list of Blogsale items to IMBB, I can breathe again…and get back to writing reviews! I reviewed for you the Rouge Artist Intense #45 earlier – Raspberry Red from their Satin finish. Today I bring to you, another jewel from the same collection – it’s the shade Pearly plum from their Pearly collection.

Rouge Artist Intense is a lipstick saturated with pigments for an intense result.

What it is:

A highly pigmented, long-lasting lipstick that delivers rich color in one stroke.

What it does:

Formulated with 50% more pigment than the traditional lipstick, Rouge Artist Intense gives an immediate true-to-color result. A blend of three natural waxes, the creamy texture glides on effortlessly for a long-lasting hold. The extensive color and texture range provides unlimited creativity.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens

What else you need to know:

Available in three finishes—matte, pearly, and satin—for varying effects.

Apparently, these lipsticks are supposed to have 50% more pigment than regular lipsticks – that sure is a tall claim. Read on to find out if its true..

Packaging:

The product packaging is standard glossy black square tube a colour-coded tag at the base – easy to identify the colour, if you own more than 1 of these(like I do). The cover has “Make Up For ever” written on it. Its simplistic, classy and functional design. The lipstick has a regular twist up mechanism.

My experience with Make Up For Ever (MUFE) – Rouge Artist Intense #13:

Color: The shade“Pearly Plum” is a plum coloured (obviously, right??) with a pearly shimmer to it – its intense but not quite frost-like. The shade name is not written on the lipstick tube – just the number. The colour is perfect for fall and would work both in day or night. Its not as loud as the shade no. 45 (reviewed earlier) – but a more sophisticated colour.

It would work well with ablush like MAC Plum Foolery or Tom Ford Ravish. Alternatively, could work well with just a touch of bronzer

Texture: The texture is creamy and has a nice pearly shimmer – not sparkle or frostiness. There is no tug or pull. Despite the dark colour – Its easy to apply from the tube.

It isn’t really ultra hydrating. But it doesn’t dry out the lips either. It did not settle into the fine lines on my lips.

Pigmentation:1.5-2swipes are enough o have an even colour – right upto the colour in the tube. These lippies are definitely waaaay more pigmented than the regular lipsticks – just as the Company claims.

Lasting power:The product lasted about 6 – 6.5 hours on my lips, post which I was left with a light pink, which lasted another 2 hours. This on didn’t transfer as easily as no.45 does.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Make Up For Ever (MUFE) – Rouge Artist Intense #13 :

1. A beautiful Plum shade – with pearly shimmer – providing it an incandescence.
2. Excellent pigmentation
3. It applies easily – no tug or pull!
4. Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips
5. There was no feathering or bleeding.
6. Comfortable to wear – though not hydrating, per se
7. Fairly long lasting

Cons of Make Up For Ever (MUFE) – Rouge Artist Intense #13 :

1. Has some fragrance – but it does not last long

IMBB Rating:

A 5/5 product.

A highly pigmented colour, fairly long lasting, comfortable to wear, perfect shade for the winters – what more can one ask for. So do you like the colour?
